Lumberjanes #2 Sells Out 12,000 Print Run – Twice Initial Orders – And Goes to Second Printing
We've been telling everyone that Boom! Studios' Lumberjanes has the potential to be a huge hit since it was first announced. The first issue sold out with a print run three times its initial orders. Well, it appears that the heat on Lumberjanes wasn't a one off fluke as the second issue is now sold out at Diamond.
Whether the flurry of reorder activity was due to the first issue selling out or the announcement that Lumberjanes is now an ongoing series is up for debate, but either way it also seems to have helped the 2nd printing of issue #1, which I'm told has orders over 2500 copies, putting the first issue totals over 20,000 copies.
The second issue had initial orders of 6,151 copies. After Final Order Cutoff, they increased by roughly 50% to 9,453 copies. I understand the 12,000 copies sent to Diamond have now sold out. A second printing is on its way and I have the cover by Perry Maple. The new printing will be in stores two weeks after issue #3 on June 25th.
