Marvel Will Probably Spoil Civil War II #5 Again, So Watch Out For Mainstream Media Reports
This week sees the release of Civil War II #5 by Brian Bendis and David Marquez.
The devastating fallout from the first half of this event is enormous and being felt in every corner of the Marvel Universe. The truth about Ulysses' future-seeing power is revealed and it is a game changer. Sides are irrevocably drawn and the gauntlet is thrown for the biggest battle in Marvel Universe history. And that's just the stuff we can tell you. All this, and the story goes galactic
It will be arriving in comic stores tomorrow and go on sale on Wednesday.
I've been told about one particular double page splash that may be rather… newsworthy.
Given Marvel's form, that means spoiling the issue in question either today or tomorrow.
I'll give a semi-spoiler, whited out in the next paragraph to indicate the kind of spoiler-twist involved, without revealing the individuals' names.
A look at the far future will reveal that one iconic superhero will kill another. The question is raised, will the other heroes deal with this hero like they did the Hulk? Another arrow through the head?
Something like that. As foreshadowed back in Civil War II #1…
And in issue #3…
But if you are following Civil War II, and don't want to be spoiled by Marvel like you were for the big Civil War II #3 twist by Marvel and the New York Daily News, then you may want to close down all your media outlets until you either walk into your comic store on Wednesday morning, or open up your ComiXology account.

Hmm. I wonder if a metatextual reading of Civil War II could be had, warning of the dangers of spoilers?
