Quentin Tarantino And Matt Wagner Head Dynamite's SDCC Panel
Quentin Tarantino, Reginald Hudlin and Matt Wagner, the creative force behind the new Django / Zorro comic, will be on Dynamite's 10th Anniversary panel at San Diego Comic Con next week. The comic is considered the official sequel to the film Django Unchained and will hit comic shelves in November from a partnership between Dynamite and DC Entertainment.
The Dynamite 10th Anniversary Panel will take place on Sunday, July 27th, from 2:15pm to 3:15pm, in Room 6BCF. The panel will be moderated by Alan Kistler, and will also include Dynamite's CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci and Senior Editor Joseph Rybandt.
Regarding the Django / Zorro crossover, Tarantino says, "I'm very, very excited about both this story and the opportunity to work with Matt. It was reading his Zorro stories that convinced me what a good idea it was to join these two icons together. The story idea we came up with is thrilling, and I think it will be an exciting new chapter for both characters."
Tarantino and Wagner are co-plotting the series with Wagner doing dialogue, Hudlin co-editing (he was a producer on the original film) and Esteve Polls doing the art.
