A Look At Guy Delisle's Hostage With Lewis Trondheim And Brigitte Findaklys Poppies Of Iraq For Free Comic Book Day

For Free Comic Book Day this year, Drawn & Quarterly have previews of two French graphic novels they're translating into English for 2017….  Guy Delisle's Hostage about the experience of a kidnapped man held in solitary confinement in the Caucasus region, and Poppies of Iraq is Brigitte Findakly's account of her relationship with her homeland Iraq, stretching from her childhood during Saddam Hussein's regime to the 2015 Paris attacks, as drawn by cartoonist Lewis Trondheim.
