Coming July 1st from Heavy Metal, we have Mechanism, a new comic from Raffaele Ienco as both writer and artist. It's part of the new line of comics published by Heavy Metal in the science fiction tradition and is creator-owned.
Heavy Metal describe the book thus:
When a prototype military robot is sent to the frontline of an alien invasion, it's artificial mind must evolve in the company of a group of human survivors. As the machine learns what it means to be human, will it decide that we are a race worth saving, or find itself on the other side of the combat lines?
