Dark Horse's Matt Parkinson Promoted To Senior Director Of Marketing
Yesterday, Bleeding Cool reported how Micha Hershman, VP of Marketing at Dark Horse Comics had resigned to work for a 3D animation school in San Francisco.
Today, Dark Horse has confirmed that news at the bottom of a press release, the main focus of which is the the promotion of their director of online marketing, Matt Parkinson, to the newly title of senior director of Marketing, the position Micha held before his promotion to Vice President.
The press release quotes Parkinson as saying "My time at Dark Horse has been one of the most satisfying experiences both personally and professionally… I have enjoyed working with Mike Richardson and the entire Dark Horse team, and look forward to new challenges and opportunities. I am truly proud to have played a part in the company's rich history, and look forward to having a larger role in carrying Dark Horse's message to the world."
Hershman told Bleeding Cool yesterday "Dark Horse is one of the truly great companies in the history of comics. Among it's staff are some of the brightest, most passionate, most creative individuals I've ever had the privilege to work with. Chief among them is Mike Richardson, a giant in his field whom I'm truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work for and learn from. I'll be sorry to leave my friends at Dark Horse, but am looking forward to new experiences, the opportunity to broaden my skill set and the chance to take on even bigger challenges."
