Last year around this time, we were still talking about Batman vol. 1 #13 (which, a bit coincidentally, appears to be 70 years old this month) for a completely different reason. Will we still be talking about the current Batman #13 in 70 years? Read on: I have friends. One of those friends was lucky enough to get an advance copy of Batman #13. That friend was also kind enough to let me read it, which means that I no longer have claim over my first born. Oh well, my loss is your gain! Batman #13 is a landmark issue which ends the year-long absence of the Joker and begins the "Death of the Family" event. As this issue has not hit stands yet, I will keep this review spoiler free and follow up with more analysis after you've all had a chance to read.
