Kapow Convention Adds Some Muffin To Their Sausage
Kapow, the London convention run by Mark Millar and his family, and funded by Titan, has been criticised both this year and last for having no announced female comics guests, namely a "sausagefest". Last year, there were actually female comics creators at the show, but some people didn't realise the same thing would probably happen again this year.
But Kapow are taking no chances. I told the organisers that Conan artist Becky Cloonan would be attending as a fan, they reached out to her and now she's just been announced as a guest, along with Italian artist on Ultimate Spider-Man and the second Castle graphic novel, Sara Pichelli, Freakangels colourist Kate Brown and Vampire Acandemy and Thrill Electric artist Emma Vieceli, also well known in the convention circuit for running the Comics Village at MCM Expo for a number of years.
Oh yes, and Scott Snyder's coming as well.
Along with the likes of Joe Quesada, Warren Ellis, Dave Gibbons, Frank Quitely, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle and the rest of the boys.
