Moving on from her debut on Glee, Melissa Benoist will be heading into an iconic role in the pilot for CBS's Supergirl having previously played parts in at least two recent films soon to be released. The casting process for the role was reputedly lengthy, but now fans' curiosity has at last been satisfied.
