What a difference some color and chrome make. The conversation today continued to show just how much comic fans care about the brands they love, and seeing the logo colored up and in context has changed more than a few opinions about it. But now that it's official and we've seen how DC intends to use it, what do you think?

Welcome to the new DC Comics logo…. that you saw first at Bleeding Cool, obviously. Revealed at Fast Company who ran an interview with Dan DiDio and Jim Lee earlier, this is the real deal. And they come in a variety of colours, and designs, including a Watchmen yellow-with-blood-splatter variety, that, presumably, will be on the new Watchmen prequel comic books.

DC Comics Demonstrates How The New Logo Will Be Used
DC Comics has shown how their new logo will be used on current books and current branding. Looks like the edge of the D will be pushed hard against the spine of a comic, so the "peel" comes right off the edge of the comic.

As Kodak File For Bankruptcy, The Future Of Cinema Is Unveiled
The film stock company so iconic that the phrase "A Kodak moment" has become part of our everyday arsenal, it seems that the giant might finally be seeing its final days. After 132 years in business, one of the biggest producers of film stock in the world has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to a story on Time's website. Based in Rochester, NY, The Eastman Kodak Company was hit hard by the recession and the advent of the RED and Arri Alexa digital cinema cameras, and after laying off thousands of workers and seeing their shares drop dramatically Kodak are making a final attempt to keep the company alive in bankruptcy court.

As well as the rush to adapt pretty much every caped character who graced the four-colour page into a big screen franchise, the last ten years have also seen an incredible amount of movies based on original superheroes.
