Ron Marz Monkeys Up Ani-Max For Dynamite

Another one from the Virgin Comics Liquid Comics vault coming through the Dynamite pipe is Ani-Max.

Originally created as a live-action television format by Virgin Liquid's Sharad Devarajan and Gotham Chopra, that presumably didn't happen. So now they are trying to get a cartoon out of it.

And to that aim, ex-Virgin editor and Hal Jordan murderer (see, keeping the HEAT members on side there, important demographic) Ron Marz will be writing the comicbook version of Ani-Max, about a twelve year olf boy who gains the powers of any animal he touches into a half human.half animal hybrid.

He must be fun to hang around when there's a head lice infestation.

And Ron is very much on board with the multi-media aspects. He's quoted as sayin;

When I first read the Ani-Max story bible, I thought it was a great concept that would work in a lot of different vehicles, including animation and comics. So I was very happy to get the chance to bring Ani-Max to life as a comic. Working on something that I could enjoy, but also got my kids excited, was an absolute treat.

Out in August.
