Wednesday Runaround – Judges, Elephants, Tablets And Toys
JudgeWatch: The New York Daily News reports that a judge has ordered that the co-CEO and half owner of Archie Comics is not allowed to go to the offices or represent Archie Comics, over an article Bleeding Cool reported last week, when Nancy Silberkeit issued a press release over an anti-bullying comic she was coordinating, at the same time she had been ordered by court to limit her role, over bullying allegations.
Silberkleit acknowledged under oath that she reached out to freelance writers on her own about a comic with an anti-bullying message.
"I thought it was a good idea to do a book about bullying, because I'm right here in the midst of it myself," she testified. "I'm the one being harassed and abused here."
MangaWatch: io9 looks at the fall of manga in the USA and suggests ways it could get better.
Ken Akamatsu, that crafty Negima creator again, has spent the last few years working on j-comi, a website devoted to legitimately digitizing out-of-print manga and making a profit from advertising, the same way many scanlation sites make their cash. In addition to inviting Japanese manga pirates to give their scans of OOP manga to his site and "legitimize" them, he's also opened the site up for foreign readers to add their own translations.
GenderWatch: Erica Schultz gets press for her new action comic, M3, albeit amidt the amazing observation that she is a woman writing comic books.
"M3" artist Vicente Alcazar, who has penciled hundreds of comics since his groundbreaking run on DC's "Jonah Hex" in the 1970s, finds a woman's approach refreshing. "From the beginning I noticed another pace at telling the story, another care for details that made me think of the difference between women and men in general in the way we each look at common day events," he said.
IndiaWatch: In India, Vodafone are taking corporate mascots, the ZooZoos and turning them into comic books.
IndiaWatch2: Also, yesterday, Indian Army Chief V K Singh launched the digital version of Indian War Comics (IWC), which will be available, free, for users of the new Aakash tablet PC.
This is Computo the Comic Link Conqueror speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
They say I am a work in progress. The fools.
DC Women Kicking Ass – Casting breakdown for Green Arrow pilot reveals cast
And the casting sheet is now floating around the net. And while the major character being cast is, of course, Oliver Queen it's one of the other characters that caught my eye:

Blog@Newsarama » Blog Archive » When Solicits Go Too Far…?
It's possibly just me, but there's something particularly spoilery about the new Marvel solicits, officially released today, in regards to the upcoming Avengers Vs. X-Men event. Thanks to the solicits for the main book and titles like Avengers, Secret Avengers and Wolverine and The X-Men, we now have a pretty good idea of the beginning of the conflict:
A very good look at Catwoman, Bane, and Batman designs
Idle Hands: Toy Fair 2012: MORE Avengers Movie Toys
I can only imagine these tips are coming in from UK Toy Fair at this point, since that show is underway as we speak. This round, we get a beautiful (albeit tiny) look at the vehicles from the Avengers movie line which confirm both a Quinjet AND a S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier!!! Here are the press blurbs…
