Ahahahaha… we posted this yesterday and I'm still laughing about it. An excellent Thor-in-four-panels by Ty Templeton. Ty previously had pretty damn funny takes on the Granito saga, Charlie Sheen, and… well, you may as well go check out his website while you're at it.
I think Templeton's work first came to my attention a long time ago due to a favorable nod from comics-reviewing ironman RC Harvey, who has been writing about comics since the fanzine days of the 1960s I believe, and is still at it online over at tcj.com, so I always take note of what he has to say. But that's a digression I suppose, so on with the show:

With Only 407 of 6000 Comics Sold So Far, Gary Dahlberg's Collection Tops $1.38 Million
Even if you're a casual reader of comic book news, you may have heard the tragic story of Gary Dahlberg's death. A retired bus driver in Minneapolis, Dahlberg was killed last year when the kitchen of his home caught fire. He'd been a comic book collector since he was a child, and somehow, almost impossibly, his extensive comic book collection escaped damage from both the fire and the fire fighters' water hoses. 407 comic books from his collection sold for $1.38 Million at Heritage's May Signature Auction in NY last week.
