The Treviso Comic Book Festival

The Treviso Comic Book FestivalNext weekend, the good lady wife and myself are being flown out to attend the Treviso Comic Festival in Italy. Just north of Venice (which is why we'll be staying an extra day), it's will take over the town, from a comics market in the Chamber Of Commerce to nine separate exhibitions or original arts and events all over the place.

Fittingly, the theme of the show is travel. And one exhibition,Carnet De Voyage, will see example of Italian and European comic book sketches by authors on their voyages. Other spotlight individual creators such as David B,and Emile Bravo or publishers Teapot.

I'm looking forward to discovering a whole new world of comics. And my wife is looking forward to discovering a whole new world of shoes.

The last time I visited Italy, I was flown out to Copertino to celebrate the launch of the Flying Friar graphic novella. I'm starting to get used to it…
