Tomorrow Is D-Day For DC

Tomorrow Is D-Day For DCDecision Day that is. Or possibly Deadline Day.

October the 15th is the day given to a number of DC employees whose positions at DC Comics are resting on their willingness to move to the West Coast, to make their choice.

Those who say yes will receive a grant to help the moving process, something expected to conclude by the end of 2011.

Those who say no will receive a redundancy package, or opportunities of work for other Warners companies on the East Coast.

It's a stressful time for many but most have made up their mind by now.

I understand that one particular long term employee at DC Comics, who may have been offered a senior West Coast role in their TV and Animation department.

And there are New York promotions on the way as well with two editorial bumps I've been told are expected to be unveiled this Friday. Might get another SVP out of that as well.

As ever DC people have been reminded quite strongly not to talk about this – which meant that DC people I did speak to about such matters this weekend tended to want to speak well away from the convention centre.

Which also meant I had more breakfasts than were strictly necessary for a man of my bloated figure.

Either way, I'm told to expect the dam to break on a lot more of DC's changes in the next few days.
