Tuesday Trending Topics: Transformers And The Poetry Of Flying Metal
I'm only a casual Transformers fan, (and also a sucker for big budget sfx) and I think I liked the first two movies a little more than most, so I've been pretty encouraged by the cautiously optimistic buzz about Transformers: Dark of the Moon. And interestingly enough, even though Michael Moran's review is decidedly mixed, it still makes me want to see the film. Worth a glance.

DC Relaunch Sampler Comics In July – The DC Retailer Roadshow In Chicago
For the retailers, they are doing a 75% co-op for advertising (although, to me, if they are already doing advertising, why do they need us?). They are also doing mid-night launch parties, and they are having retailers give out free "sampler" comics on 7/20, the same day as preview night at San Diego Comic Con. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol First Trailer
Mission Impossible is back, and this trailer definitely has my attention. Starring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, and coming out December 16 this year. Here's the blurb: The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in a global terrorist bombing plot. Ghost Protocol is initiated and Ethan Hunt and his rogue new team must go undercover to clear their organizations name. No help, no contact, off the grid.
