Convention commission culture continued to be a major topic of conversation everywhere today, with J. Scott Campbell jumping into the fray with a comment that adds some perspective to the incident that kicked this whole thing off. We also have more news on the Star Wars Blu-Rays. It's a not uncommon scenario. An artist, especially a popular one, creates a list of people asking for commissions and creates work, at a convention table, for everyone to watch. Then takes it away to work on independently for the next show. And then sees that person suddenly sell it for multiple times the price they paid on eBay.
J Scott Campbell Keeps Sketching But Knows The Risks
It seems that J Scott Campbell got hit by the same sketch hunter as Adam Hughes did the past weekend, begging and pleading for a personal sketch then flipping it on eBay for a massive profit. Unlike Adam however, Campbell saw pretty much through the scamster, posting on Facebook;
One Day Northstar Will Look Left
Alpha Flight Collector, as part of a diatribe against how Northstar is repeatedly and lazily treated in X-Men titles notes that in the last issue of Uncanny X-Men, Northstar's close ups are almot identical… and sees a trend of left looking hair gaps in his previous, as if the artist Greg Land is using the same reference shot every time he draws Northstar. Either that or all that superspeeding has given him a crick in his neck.
