When Captain America Saved A Cat From A Burning House – But Couldn't Save His Dog

So Batman and Captain America rescued a cat from a burning home, before firefighters arrived. It happens. Catch this report;

That's Bleeding Cool reader Troy Marcum in the Captain America suit of Heroes For Hire, or H4H. They dress up as superheroes for kids events, but Troy is a disabled OEF/OIF/Operation Unified Response Haiti (surgical relief) vet. Skills that came in handy for one special cat., as they were at the right place at the right time. Veteran bikers (Bikers Against Child Abuse), firefighters as well as forward deployed were also on the scene.

But these two were in costume. They have already been contacted by CNN  to cover their story. Here they are in action, rescuing the cat, and then resuscitating it.

But tragically, while this was occurring, Troy's own pet dog, who he describes as his world, was run over by a car across town and killed. It feels like the cruellest superhero plot twist – but it happens to be real.

Troy, we salute you as a hero, and feel for your loss.

Here's Troy and the rest of H4H at work.
