Red Giant Entertainment Deletes Shareholder Questions From Facebook
We ran a number of concerns regarding Red Giant Entertainment the other week. And how their big launch intended for this week, printing hunderds of thousands of free comics funded by advertising, suddenly wasn't happening any more, there was no Toys R Us promotion and the launch has been delayed to next year.
Well, they issued an hour long shareholder report video to talk about some of the issues.
Benny Powell said, talking with David Campiti, "What specifically happened is that we had every indication that everything was on track for launch, everything seemed to be good, going well, it looked like we were going to make it. The timer ran out… we were looking to the fallback dates… we were literally, last Thursday 6 o'clock at night… we had to say we didn't have enough." Money. Advertising. "Not the necessary amount to cover those costs…. in essence we were far too ambitious for what we were doing to launch…. bottom line is, I'm sorry, I failed."
They are changing plans to launch with four books, to just launch with one, and then introduce more titles as and when they succeed.
But some of those investors weren't happy and started asking questions on the Red Giant Facebook page. And found those questions deleted and blocked.
In response, Red Giant posted,
