'Retailers Are A Cowardly And Superstitious Lot… I Will Become A Barger'
So last night at the Baltimore Diamond Retail Summit, retailers had a four hour dinner during which publishers paid to make presentations to them. After 14 hours of panels, and presentations, the natives were getting restless.
But as the last presenter Ski, DC Comics' VP Of Sales for the Direct Market, began his presentation the rumblings from retailers wanting to leave actually started to drown him out.
Halfway through it got so bad that one retailer actually had to "shush" the audience so that he could hear the second biggest publisher in the direct market address the footsoldiers.
Was that audience member really the controversial retailer and active DC comics baiter Dennis Barger from Quick Stop Comics in Lincoln Park, MI?
You know it it must be getting bad when Dennis Barger is forced to come to DC's rescue.
