Revealed: Reed Richards Personally Erased Doctor Strange's Memory Of The Secret Wars
No one in the Prime Marvel Universe remembers the end of the world, the creation of the Battleworld and its recreation as the All-New All-Different Multiverse.
Well most don't. As The Ultimates pointed out,
But some people do. Miles Morales. The Maker. Probably Old Man Logan.
But while most folk seem to have had their memories altered by changing reality, Doctor Strange – who was killed by Doctor Doom in Secret Wars has had his memories personally removed by Reed Richards.
At least that's what it says in the All-New All-Different Marvel Universe guidebook update volume published today.
So Reed Richards, now imbued with the power of the Beyonders, personally restored Doctor Strange to life (and took off a few years in the process it seems, basically Cumberbatching him) but wiped his memory.
I wonder if there's a spell to restore that? Once, you now, magic is fixed and everything…
Of course this all raises the question why Reed and Franklin brought back and Earth with all the bad guys that The Punisher killed back to life. And fixed Doom's face. And kept cancer – for Thor and millions others. And poverty, war, famine for billions.
Yes, it's playing God. But, right now, that's exactly what Reed and Franklin are doing, so why stop with Doctor Strange's memories of being Sherfif Strange?
