Sean Gordon Murphy To Do An Artbook With Six Up-And Coming New Artists
Sean Gordon Murphy (Hellblazer: City of Angels) has put together quite a unique project and is using kickstarter to make it happen. He is going to work with six up-and-coming students on a two-week apprenticeship during which he and the students will created a 100-page soft cover anthology called Cafe Racer.
The concept for the book is that a World War II Japanese refugee gets caught up in the English cafe racing community. The book will feature seven vignettes as well as pencils, concept art and other behind the scenes work.
Along with Murphy and his students, other artist will contribute including Andrew Robinson, Dave Johnson, Dan Panosian and Matteo Scalera.
So how is the kickstarter doing? Murphy let us know himself:
Wow, 8k in 1 hour for my Kickstarter! I'll have to start thinking of stretch goals. http://t.co/s1Y5YgnQdK
