Spero Toys' Animal Warriors Of The Kingdom From Comic Shops In March

Spero Toy Enterprise has successfully crowdfunded a number of action figure lines, including Animal Warriors Of The Kingdom featuring animal humanoid warriors. Hence the name. Meant to bring back the look and feel of beloved '80s and early '90s action figure era The Kingdom, they also created a spinoff comic book series of the same name to flesh out the concept. Saying "Readers will learn about the world our heroes and villains inhabit and experience the adventure alongside the series main protagonist Pale, in order to thwart the plans of the vile Emperor Kah Lee!"
They have released four comic book issues available physically and digitally on their website but as of March 2024, they will be coming to comic book stores in the direct market, through Diamond Comic Distributors. The first issue solicitation is below, from writer Jason Bienvenu and artist Utama Prastha. The first issue is sold out from the website, but the subsequent three are available and the first issue is made available digitally for free. Will this bring a wider audience to Animal Warriors Of The Kingdom, or will AWOK bring a wider audience to comic book stores?
