Star Wars' Producer Gary Kurtz Is Launching His New Comic, The Chimeran, In Birmingham Next Month

 Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back producer , along with Iron Giant and Harry Potter's Richard Bazley and How To Train Your Dragon's Paul Goodenough have been working on project called The Chimeran for around four years now.

And at the ICE Comic Convention in Birmingham, Saturday September 10th, they will be releasing a preview comic of The Chimeran from Ben Oliver and Simon  Furman, also at the show, and running a presentation and Q&A.

From co-creator Paul Goodenough,

The Chimeran fits perfectly with the recent evolution of comics and TV. It's carved from the same cloth as Deadwood, Planet of the Apes and Game of Thrones: bad things happen and people suffer, but in that suffering and fear, we examine what makes people 'human' and how far humankind will go to save themselves.
