Teasing The State Of Alfred's Hand In Batman/Superman….
So, this happened in Batman #39. The Joker blew off Alfred's hand. Nice.
And this happened in Batman #40. Alfred refused to have his hand reattached.
Last we knew, the hand was still removed two weeks later, pushing well past the limits of medical science to reattach, though Scott Snyder told me "they're using crazy quilts helix stitch to keep it viable for a short period of time. It'll last about a month given the restorative power of the stuff (my phd in comic science!) Whether Alfred find a reason to have it reattached, you'll have to wait and see…"
Well, in Batman/Superman #41 there is plenty to tease. We don't know the reasons that Lois outed Clark Kent as Superman. We don't know what Wonder Woman's involvement was, or why Superman said what he said to her. And we don't know what's happened to Alfred's hand – even though he was up and about.
Because every time he appeared, talking to Superman, his right hand (if it is still there) was in shadow…
