Last year, as DC Comics was puiblishing the new Birds Of Prey comic book, there was a significant online contingent with one major complaint. "Where's Barbara Gordon? The Birds of Prey is what Barbara does, it's not simply a team of women". "love harley but there's no reason the birds of prey should have her rather than barbara gordon" "Wanting Barbara Gordon to be Oracle in BoP is so much more than a personal preference, it's a matter of morality" or "I miss Barbara Gordon as Oracle and team leader of the BoP it doesn't feel the same without her"

Last year, Bleeding Cool broke the news that Barbara Gordon would be returning next month in Birds Of Prey #7. But in tomorrow's Birds Of Prey #6, there's a big in-continuity reason as to why she wasn't on the team. Because… she had been. Time after time after time.

And died every single time. This is not the first run through this particular timeline. But it was the pne that, finally, was successful and that didn't lead to Barbara Gordon's death. Because someone from the future is gunning for her.

But she will bne back next month, with a whole new team and fighting back against whoever it is who wants her out of the picture….
