The Spectre "Returns" in April's Justice League #45, and He's Out for… Wait for It… Vengeance

April's Justice League #45 will feature the return of the Spectre, DC's April solicitations revealed. Judging by the solicits for Justice League #44 and #45, it seems that the Justice League finds The Spectre at the bottom of a well in Antarctica ("what's that, Lassie?! The Spirit of Vengeance is trapped in the well?!"), where he's apparently been "in isolation" for "untold time." Now, The Spectre is pissed and he's going to take it out on the Earth.

Which sounds all find and dandy, but it does make us wonder, if the Spectre has been gone for all of this time… then who was it we saw back in Detective Comics #1006 last year? We have lots of questions, and the solicits don't have all the answers, but maybe you can come up with an explanation and win DC's equivalent of a no-prize. Let us know what you think in the comments.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
