Tom King Had Lunch with Matthew Rosenberg and the Comics Industry Exploded
Superstar creators Tom King and Matthew Rosenberg sent shockwaves throughout the comics community after having lunch with each other Thursday. No, it's not because one is a Marvel and the other is a DC, nor is it because the pair of comic creators had the audacity to go out in public despite the looming threat of coronavirus. Instead, it was a revelation from Rosenberg that King had to explain a fundamental concept at the core of the entire cartoon world that set Twitter on fire.
Yes, that's right, Matthew Rosenberg didn't know that Bugs Bunny and Yogi Bear are not part of the same cartoon universe.
It's because the cartoon shorts were originally produced to showcase music owned by Warner Bros, Matt! Everyone knows that!
Rosenberg's revelation shocked many of his colleagues.
Venom artist Ryan Stegman was legitimately upset.
While Mitch Gerads was just mad he wasn't invited to lunch.
By morning, King was still having trouble coming to grips with Rosenberg's foolishness.
Can Matthew Rosenberg's career recover from this embarrassment? We'll keep you posted.
