TSA Held Comic Creator For Hours at Airport Ahead Of Dragon*Con
Yesterday, Jim Starlin posted an account of what a comic book creator was going through, trying to get to Atlanta for a comic con. Dragon*Con is being held this weekend in Atlanta.
I know a young woman, a writer/artist, who some time back made the mistake of getting involved with a sociopathic jerk, who's also in the comic book business. He turned out to be both emotionally and physically abusive. Eventually she found the strength to break off the relationship.
But this a**hole apparently doesn't know when to quit. It seems he submitted a statement to Homeland Security and now TSA pulls this young woman in whenever she attempts to get on a plane. It's happened twice in the past few months. It again occurred last night, while she was attempting to get to the Atlanta Comic Con. TSA held her for questioning for several hours and only released her long after all flights to Atlanta had departed. But before they took her in she let a friend know what was happening, yet again.
Word spread and a number of her friends anxiously waited late into the wee hours of the morning to see how this situation would be resolved. She was finally released and will catch a flight to Atlanta later today.
I congratulate the lady on having the strength to persevere and not let this craven creep beat her. She will be at the Atlanta Comic Con.
The ex-boyfriend? May rats devour this pathetic cretin's liver.
Dragon*Con continues at the Peachtree Center hotels in Atlanta, Georgia, until tomorrow.
