One of the hardest things to do for a new convention is to entice a publisher to exhibit. Often times it takes a few years before you get a good turn out of publisher to a con. So it's a little surprising that the New Jersey Comic Expo has announced 3 publisher for the inaugural weekend. Action Lab, Dynamite and Valiant will all be set up at the show.
Now Dynamite is a New Jersey based publisher so it being in their backyard makes sense for them to go. But they also seem to be the ones bringing in Garth Ennis to promote their new series A Train Called Love. Though I'm sure attendees can get Ennis to sign his books from DC, Marvel and Avatar Press as well. Plus you can ask him about the new Preacher series that we just got a trailer for. Dynamite will be having a panel on Saturday at 1 pm.
Valiant on the other hand is not in New Jersey, but they have added this stop on the 25th Anniversary Tour. They haven't announced who they will be bringing, but they have a panel slated for 3 pm on Saturday.
On the other hand, Action Lab Entertainment is going to need a lot of badges as Jamal Igle (Molly Danger), Jeremy Holt (Southern Dog), John Reilly (Herald), Alex Kain (Beyond the Western Deep) and the Fraim Brothers (Kids of the Round Table) will all be in attendance and sitting on the publisher's panel slotted for Saturday at 12pm!
With three publishers already, it seems like this show is getting off to a really good start.
Has quietly been working at Bleeding Cool for over three years. He has written comics for Image, Top Cow, Shadowline, Avatar, IDW, Dynamite, Moonstone, Humanoids and Zenescope. He is the author of the Lucius Fogg series of novels and a published photographer.

With DC’s Legends of Tomorrow starting to fire up production on season 4, it seemed like a good time to post five things we'd like to see in the new year.
