What Comics Will You Be Able To Buy On Boxing Day? (UPDATE)
This year, new comic books day lands on Boxing Day. December the 26th to all you plebians.
So while Diamond won't be making a delivery that day, they are going to send a special delivery with the previous weeks' books, to be held for seven days. Which means this is the first Boxing Day when you can go and buy brand new, properly scheduled, comic books.
So far, they include DC Comics' Aquaman #15, Before Watchmen: Nite Owl #4 and Justice League #15. Both Aquaman and Justice League will tell part of the same Throne Of Atlantis story, both written by Geoff Johns, and marks the switch from Aquaman to Justice League for artists Ivan Reis and Joe Prado.
Image Comics will have the new Brian Wood ongoing series, Mara, debuting its first issue, as well as the Richard Starkings and Ladronn graphic novelette Hipflask: Ourborous.
Marvel Comics will have their monster of an Amazing Spider-Man #700 from Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos , and Avenging Spider-Man #15.1.
And I'm told that Avatar Press are trying to arrange for Crossed Badlands #20 to join in.
Nothing from Dark Horse, we await IDW, Boom! and others. It will be a small week in terms of titles, but there are a couple of monsters in there to drag people away from the sofa and the sales…
UPDATE: Dynamite will be issuing The Shadow Special #1 for that date as well.
