Along with previewing today's new episode of Marvel Studios & Disney+'s What If…?, we've also been taking a look at how S02E08: "What If… the Avenger Assembled in 1602?" would credit the comics creators that the episode is inspired from. Written by Neil Gaiman and penciled by Andy Kubert, with digital painting from Richard Isanove, the eight-issue 2003 limited series Marvel 1602 placed popular characters like the X-Men, Doctor Doom, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and others in the Elizabethan era where the universe is threatened by a mysterious force. Back in November, Gaiman revealed that he wasn't involved but was "looking forward to seeing it" (more on that below). Well, the episode dropped at 3 am ET, so we took a look at what we got at the opening was that A. C. Bradley & Ryan Little penned the episode:
