Young Avengers Reinvents Comics Again. Probably More Than Once.
Hooray! There's a new Young Avengers out today. Boo, it kinda wraps up lots of stuff before the two parter Afterparty coming up next month. There is resolution, there is reason, there is music, there is sex, there is parental responsibility and, as you can see from above, there is love.
But there's also more of the page-twisting comic play that Young Avengers has been famed for, somewhere between Acme Novelty Library and The Filth.
Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie established that music was magic in Phonogram. Well, as they've been doing in Young Avengers, it turns out that comics are magic as well.
That's a zoomed in section from a full double spread. And there's plenty more besides as well. Time to go and pick up a great comic folks. And, as the above may suggest, it works so much better in print.
