Fans Discover Secret Easy Mode In Cozy Moving Game Unpacking
Players have discovered that being sloppy can actually pay off as a new secret mode has been discovered in the game Unpacking.

Some players have discovered an all-new mode hidden within Unpacking and it was under our tidy little noses the entire time, disguised as laziness. Players have discovered a new mode called Dark Star Mode, which the developers later showed off in detail on TikTok (which you can check out the short video below). Technically, the team revealed that this was a possibility a while ago, but it sounds like no one ever really explored it as an option until recently.
The short version is that instead of loading everything up into a tidy space in every home you unpack in, you just empty the contents of every box onto the floor until everything is officially "unpacked," and then dispose of the boxes. You don't put anything away, you just leave it on the floor or put it in the wrong place unorganized. Doing so will earn you a Dark Star for the level instead of a normal one, and comes with it's own achievement. So for those of you looking for a new challenge in the game, you now have one. Unpacking
Unpacking is a zen game about the familiar experience of pulling possessions out of boxes and fitting them into a new home. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration, you are invited to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the life you're unpacking. Over the course of eight house moves, you are given a chance to experience a sense of intimacy with a character you never see and a story you're never told.
