Fans Are Mapping 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Using The Trailer

Back in 2016, there was a leak from the game Red Dead Redemption 2 in which the entire map was revealed on NeoGAF. At the time, the source was only described as a verified person who was close to the game, but people weren't entirely sure whether to believe it as the genuine article or dismiss it as someone messing with them about a game that (at the time) wouldn't see the light of day for over a year.

Now fans of the game have been taking the trailer and dissecting it frame by frame to confirm two things: first, yes, the map is real. And second, no one at Rockstar thought to change anything, even after they probably confirmed the leak.

If you want to check out the full details of what people are finding, you can head to GTAForums.com where a dedicated feed has been put in place. But essentially what you'll see is a complete diagram system of the original map with people showing off the markers of where certain landmarks and locations are within the game. It's a pretty cool project and awesome to see fans so dedicated to figuring it out before they can play it. I wonder how the people at Rockstar feel about it…
