Mixer Introduces A New PUBG Dedicated Channel Called HypeZone
With the popularity of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on the rise on Xbox One, Mixer has decided to launch a brand new channel dedicated to all things PUBG called HypeZone. Taking their logo from the "chicken dinner" award you get at the end of winning a match, the channel will be showing off clips and highlights from the game, as well as popular streams and news that comes out. The channel has actually been active for a week so far with today being the official launch day after they ironed out all the issues. Below are some of the finer details of how the channel works.
In a PUBG match, making it into the top 10 comes with intense emotions: the circle's shrinking and you've got your head on a swivel looking for movement anywhere around you. HypeZone lasers in on that intensity through a channel that shows viewers only the final moments of action; a lot of folks are calling it RedZone for PUBG. Here's what it does.
-
HypeZone switches between Mixer streamers closest to winning the coveted Chicken Dinner, hosting the streamer until they either win or die. This gives viewers the opportunity to discover streamers of all levels during the most intense moments of the game.
-
Whether a team is Co-Streaming a calculated squad assault or a player is streaming a solo run to hundreds of viewers, HypeZone knows the distance between the players and the win, plus with Hosting 2.0, Mixer has made it easy to follow those featured and cheer them on.
-
For the streamers, they will accrue all the views associated with their time on HypeZone, along with the added surprise visit of potentially hundreds of extra viewers when being featured.
