New Blood Interactive Brings Tonight We Riot to PAX East 2019

While we were at PAX East, we got to check out a few games from New Blood Interactive, and we started things off with Tonight We Riot. The game puts you in a future where people are oppressed by the rich and have become slaves to the system, where even peaceful protest is met with violence. So having had enough, the people finally riot! You and, if you wish, a partner can team up to fight the establishment, free workers, stop production of all the capitalist factories that have forced you into a life of servitude, and ultimately take back the country you once called free.

I really got a kick out of the weapons selection you fight the police and other sources with, not to mention all the different obstacles you battle against in order to break through barriers and get to the factories and places of employment to get people on your side and ready to riot. The most challenging aspects were not just keeping people alive, but dealing with the bosses on each level as they are simply merciless. The devs said the game was on track for a 2019 release but no seasonal window was given. This is a pretty fun look at the future it seems like we're already on track to living, and maybe a guide to surviving the next five years!
