PlayStation 4's Twitch App Received a Massive Update Today
If you're one of the many who have been using the Twitch app both to stream and watch broadcasts, you'll be happy to know that the app got an update today that essentially changes most of the app. First off, the update numbered 1.21 gave everything a cosmetic change, as you look at the menu and the interface, you'll notice a much more refined look to everything. The search menu, while it hasn't really changed in functionality, now brings up specifically searched streams a little easier, as well as better results for specific games you may be searching.
Another addition comes in the form of previews for live streams. Now whenever you browse over a stream, you'll be able to see a preview of it before selecting it, just to be sure you want to see the content first. Beyond that, the rest of the app runs relatively the same as before. Twitch will also be rolling out the same kind of update for Xbox One, but no date was given as to when that will take place. Now we just need to wait for the company to add these kinds of changes to other versions of their app beyond gaming and everything else beyond their main platform will look and run awesome.
