WELCOME TO THE MARKET!

Rondo's new Market transforms every trip to the Battlegrounds by allowing players to purchase weapons and gear with BR Coins, a new in-match resource. Instead of searching and scrounging, relying on luck to find your favorite weapons, these new shops turn purchase options into tactical decisions, giving every player an opportunity to earn their essential tools for survival. Collect BR Coins, shop at the Market, and outfit yourself for victory!  Markets offer a brand new element of gameplay and strategy in PUBG: Battlegrounds that is unique to RONDO. Players now have the agency to tailor loadouts by securing some of their favorite items, an advantage that is balanced by new destinations and objectives to compete over. Consider setting up an ambush around a market, make early purchases before a shop's stock is exhausted (while depriving other teams of useful gear), and carry a few extra scopes in your pocket to sell later.

FINDING YOUR FORTUNE IN RONDO

First step: Earn BR Coins. If you're lucky, you can find BR Coins during your regular looting alongside world-spawned items but luck alone won't get you the perfect loadout–you can also earn BR Coins by:

  • Completing In-Game Challenges

    • When players arrive on the starting island, three randomly selected challenges are displayed on the left side of the world map, offering attachments, equipment, or BR coins as a reward. If players aren't interested in the task or rewards, they have a limited number of rerolls to try and replace challenges.

    • Some of the challenges you might see include:

      • Destroy 2 vehicle tires

      • Loot 1 smoke grenade

      • Use 5 bandages

      • Deal 150 SR or DMR damage

  • Selling your inventory items at the Market

    • See an item you like in the Market but you don't have enough Coins? The store inventories aren't the only source for items of value–sell the attachments you've found throughout the map for BR Coins and buy what you really want. You'll know an item can be sold if it has the BR Coin icon in the upper left corner.

    • If you've cracked open any safes on RONDO, the Gold Bars you find inside can also be traded for 1,000 BR Coins apiece at the Market.

    • Make sure you're only selling items you don't want anymore–the Markets have no refunds or exchanges!

  • Taking down Pillar Guards

    • There are three tiers of Markets, with the largest and most elaborate ones offering the highest quality gear. But don't think you can just walk into those highly-coveted Grade III Markets so easily! First, you'll need to take down patrolling Pillar Guards.

    • These NPC baddies put some extra challenge in front of PUBG: Battlegrounds' best Market merch, but defeating them also earns you more of those precious BR Coins to spend once you get inside.

  • Defeating your foes

    • Just like Pilar Guards do, players will also leave behind their BR Coins when they're eliminated. Even if you're empty-handed a profitable stakeout could give you just enough to buy your favorite weapon.

And remember, BR Coins are not persistent across trips to Rondo. If you have an opportunity to spend them, take it!

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS SHOPPING SPREE

Once you've collected enough coins, drop by the Market. Each one is marked on the map, with icons denoting which type of Market it is: Grade I, Grade II, or Grade III (certain Grade I Markets also come with a Garage, which is marked as well). It's simple: the higher the grade, the bigger, more elaborate, and better equipped that Market is.

There's no limit on the number of times you can shop at a particular Market, but just like your local grocery store, each one holds limited stock. It's worth taking some time out to shop, however, as Update 27.2 also introduces some helpful new gear.

In addition to weapons, attachments, and items you already know and love, here are some of the newly added items you'll be able to buy:

  • Battle Ready Kit: When used, this potent item completely replenishes both your health and boost gauge after 8 seconds.

  • New Vehicle – Pillar UAZ: If you find a Grade I Market with a Garage attached, you'll be able to purchase the Market-exclusive Pillar UAZ vehicle, which features bulletproof windows, sturdy tires, and a trunk system. Passengers can't fire from inside the Pillar UAZ due to its bulletproof windows, but that's going to be a worthwhile tradeoff for most teams trying to survive in RONDO.

  • Emergency Cover Flares: A throwable that delivers on-demand defense, the Emergency Cover Flare emits red smoke that triggers the swift deployment of three sturdy concrete blocks. These airdrops are heavy enough to break bamboo and wooden fences, and they can damage players caught beneath them. So be careful!
