Saudi Arabia Bans 47 Video Games After Child Deaths
Following the death of a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, the country of Saudi Arabia has chosen to ban several video games in response. The primary news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who have linked the bans to the "Blue Whale Challenge", which is a social media challenge that has players completing a series of tasks that end in suicide.
The Saudi government chose to ban all of the games listed below for "violations of rules and regulations", but refused to cite which rules they have broken. Critics on Reddit and Twitter are calling it an excuse to crackdown on western culture influences since there's no one continuous-linking thread between all of the video games mentioned.
