Stardew Valley's Multiplayer Mode Hits the Public Beta Today

Chucklefish just released details about their latest beta version of Stardew Valley today, letting fans know that if they want to, they can now attempt to mess around with a multiplayer mode. The company put up a lengthy post about all of the steps you need to take in order to enable the mode after you download the latest versions, which even includes a big FAQ area of what to do to report bugs and other fun questions you may have when trying to invite fellow farmers to move into your ranch and help you bring that dustheap back to prominence.

We're kind of excited as it appears you can invite up to four more people to join your particular farm, and it looks like you don't need to have your game going in order for them to join in. So unless you're planning a specific party night to get together for a few hours and plant some crops, it will work like a real farm in a sense that time will tick away for whoever is on the farm while everyone else will just be away. While we may not be real farmers, we do have enough experience to tell you to be careful who you invite to tend to the crops.
