Story Trailer Released For 'Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age'

With a few days before everyone makes their way to California for E3, Square Enix just dropped a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The game is set to be released on July 11, but before the game his shelves and the PS4's store, it gets the red carpet treatment in a storyline trailer to partially explain what's going on.

The Zodiac Age trailer is your standard affair for a Final Fantasy story, as people with perfectly feathered hair are put into a crisis that involves war and the slaughtering of millions. In this particular trailer, we're given more backstory as to why the princess is involved with the fight as the land of Ivalice (which goes all the way back to Final Fantasy Tactics) appears to be under siege from an angry tyrant looking to conquer all. As it has been commented on before, the game is set in the distant future long after many of the events in other games that also take place in Ivalice, but is making use of the Zodiac system that was the core of the tale in Tactics. So the game will be a nice throwback for some and a refreshing tale on the same land for others. Enjoy the trailer!
