"Tetris 99" Will Be Throwing A Lunar New Year Maximus Cup
Tetris 99 will be throwing another Maximus Cup for players to take part in, as the 11th cup will be celebrating the Lunar New Year. Like previous Maximus Cup events, you'll have a specific period of time to jump into the game and rack up points by beating people and placing. Eventually earning your way up the global ladder to become one of the top 999 players during those days. As you can see the poster, the event will run from January 30th at 11pm PT all the way to February 3rd at 10:39pm PT.
The points will be awarded based on placements during each match, and at the end of the event, the top 999 players with the most accumulated event points will win. And the prize? Same as many before, you'll be given 999 Gold Points that can be used in the Nintendo eShop. Which is the equivalent of $10, so maybe one or two indie games unless you're saving up. Best yet, it's free to play, all you really need is a Nintendo Switch Online account to connect to the games. Best of luck to all you Tetris 99 players this weekend.
