Destiny's King's Fall Is About To Get Harder Still
Destiny's King's Fall raid has already seen a 'Hard mode' added to give those who play it over and over again a new challenge. However, yet more challenges await still.
In Bungie's Weekly Update it was announced that the Raid would be getting weekly challenges added to it soon to make certain bosses harder to kill, by giving you a specific way to beat them. In the post Lead Raid Designer Gavin Irby explained the new challenges by saying:
Early in December, one of the King's Fall bosses will offer their challenge each week. You'll see which boss when you select the Raid in the Director. It will display next to a skull, just like one of our Nightfall modifiers. They work on both normal and hard mode, and offer rewards to match.
Each boss's challenge requires that you defeat them in a very specific manner. How, exactly? We're going to leave that up to you to discover (but apologies in advance to those that run the single-pool strat for Golgoroth).
Nothing more was shared on the challenges, so right now we don't know the rewards for putting yourself through the hell of beating bosses in elaborate ways. I find them hard enough as is though. Not sure I'll be able to to beat Golgoroth with one eye closed while standing on one leg. Or whatever these challenges end up being.
