There's No New Disney Infinity Game Coming This Year But There Is Lots Of Content Coming

I'd been wondering where Disney Infinity would go this year. The first one kicked things off, 2.0 added Marvel and 3.0 added Star Wars. Disney doesn't have any glaring holes in the game's arsenal any more.

It turns out that there will be no major release this year though, it was confirmed in a presentation last night. It was revealed that there will be lots of new content for 3.0 coming, first up with Marvel Battlegrounds, which unsurprisingly appears based around the concept of Civil War. And here are some up coming figures. That kicks off soon, coming March 15. Beyond that, there has been more promised to come from Disney, like the Jungle Book, on top of more Star Wars stuff.

I will be watching keenly, as I am always interested in what Disney Infinity are releasing. The toybox is so solid, I love getting up in there and seeing what they are doing with the platform.
