The numbers for Avengers: Age Of Ultron are coming in and they're good but not quite what was expected. Disney and Marvel are putting the film at $187.7 million which is under the $195 million that they had been looking at. One of the reasons for the drop may have been the Pacquiau / Mayweather fight, as it would pull away from the Saturday evening crowd.
This would put the film at number 2 on the list of highest grossing opening weekends behind The Avengers that took in $207.4 million and ahead of Iron Man 3 at $174.1 million. Owning the top three should still make Marvel very happy.
Oh, and when you add in the global box office that started 12 days ago the movie is at $627 million. So they're doing just fine.
