David Harbour Says Hellboy Wants to be a "Good Guy" Plus a New Image
People aren't really sure what to make of the Hellboy reboot just yet. We have some cool looking images and a trailer that has had mixed reactions from the fanbase. It's still a bit too early to make a call one way or another on this movie but if nothing else star David Harbour seems extremely excited about the role. Harbour spoke to USA Today and also shared a new image from the upcoming movie.
"I love that he is sort of destined to bring about the apocalypse, and yet he himself just wants to be, like, a good guy," Harbour says.
Harbour went on to say that this movie does a great job of exploring that dynamic that comes from wanting to be a good person and also being a killer.
"Hellboy is fundamentally a sweet-hearted guy but also a big old killer, just whacking people. We explore the horror of what it must be like to be from hell and to struggle to find your place among human beings."
We'll likely see more of Hellboy sooner rather than later. Maybe that trailer will better indicate exactly what kind of movie this wants to be.
Summary: Hellboy comes to England, where he must defeat Merlin's consort and Nimue the Blood Queen. But their battle will bring about the end of the world, a fate he desperately tries to turn away.
Hellboy, directed by Neil Marshall, will star David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Ian McShane. It will be released on April 12th, 2019.
