EA Are Happy To Delay Star Wars: Battlefront If It's Not Ready
With Star Wars Episode VII coming out this December, it's understandable to think that EA and DICE are under pressure to get Battlefront out of the doors to catch the wave. If one thing is for sure, there is going to be a frenzy surrounding Star Wars this Christmas.
EA have said that that won't dictate the quality of the game though. Speaking to MCV (Thanks for the heads up VG247), EA head Peter Moore assured people that riding that wave is not going to get in the way of the quality of the game.
You can't ship it if it doesn't work or the quality isn't right. You just bite the bullet. We'd have no compunction, no hesitation that if something went wrong with Battlefront, if it wasn't right, we would just push it.
But that's not going to happen. The game is playable with 40-players already, and it is rock solid, so it ain't going to happen.
I am confident this game will launch in November. DICE have had problems in the past with their games at launch though, so I'm not ready to die on the hill that says that game will work right out the gate. I hope it does though.
