First Trailer For Damon Lindelof's The Leftovers
A baby gets Raptured, and that's just the beginning of the weirdness that will be in The Leftovers, Damon Lindelof's adaptation of Tom Perrotta's novel of the same name for HBO.
I haven't read the book, but this trailer is pretty self-explanatory. Two percent of the world's population disappears, and this series will follow those left behind. Because our society is the way it is, things quickly take a turn for the worse as police become basically useless, people turn to cults for answers and there's just constant partying and sex.
Doesn't sound so bad to be one of the Leftovers… But I'm sure things will get bad. And since it's HBO, I'm sure we'll all be hooked and talking about it constantly to the annoyance of others who don't watch. This one premieres on Sunday, June 29th, after the current season of Game of Thrones is over.
