HBO Exec Says There Are So Many Areas To Go For Game Of Thrones Spinoff
TheGame of Thrones spinoff is all the talk now, and it probably because for the first time, the end of the main series feels tangiable. We really aren't too far away now.
It seems however, there are no solid plans for the show as of yet though. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO programming president Casey Bloys shed some light on where the project is right now. He said:
There are so many properties and areas to go to. For us, it's about finding the right take with the right writer.
He did add that work on the show most certainly hasn't started:
Not yet. There are things that sound interesting, but at this point, we have no writers assigned or anything like that. In a perfect world, Game of Thrones would keep going, and we wouldn't have to deal with any of this
I'm still not sure how sold I am on this spinoff idea, but there most certainly could be rich soil to grow from. We most defintely should get through to the end of the main series before we go anywhere else though.
